How did you start your business?
I started my own business Lift It Moving on foot of 20 years in the moving business selling and marketing large scale office relocation projects for 600-1000 staff at a time. In tandem with this I sold large international and local household moving projects. It was natural for me, having extensive knowledge of the business, to want to cultivate this for myself and provide a service that would eventually sell itself through word of mouth and high reputational standards.
What makes your services standout?
Quality is the number one imperative. Quality from the first phone call, site survey, quotation, right through to the complete delivery of our service. Quality is what I expect from a service. Quality is what Lift It Moving deliver. Sub standard quality is a failure in my eyes. All it takes is a little planning, a little patience and vision to replicate this quality over and over. Quality is what separates Lift It Moving from other providers. Quality is central to our being!!
What is your top advice for your customers?
Plan your move early. Do a cull on all your unwanted items by classifying into recyclables, items for charity and pure waste. Try not to move items that you know you will discard later. No need to buy packs of materials for your move. Lift It Moving will provide all of these for your move. Talk to your Builder and Solicitor and try to lock down accurate move dates as early as you can. These 2 trades impact the most on your moving date.
